Day 1: Chiang Mai-Hmong Hill Tribe Lodge (Lunch – Dinner)
Depart from Chiang Mai to Hmong Hill Tribe Lodge
Pickup from Your Hotel in Chiang Mai Visit the Highland People Discovery (Hill tribe Museum) (closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) to learn about the hill people in Thailand and the fascinating origins of the seven ethnic groups. They consist of the Hmong, the Yao, the Lisu, the Akha, the black and red Musers and the Karen. Then proceed to Mae Rim visit the orchid farm and Lunch a local restaurant.
Continue to The Nong Hoi Royal Project Development Centre. This project also buys produce from the hill tribes for sale in their shops. Spend an interesting time admiring the work done here before continuing to Hmong Village of Ban Nong Hoi Mai and Hmong Village of Ban Mae Khi. Then check in at Hmong Hill tribe Lodge for overnight.
Enjoy Barbecued dinner followed by Hmong cultural dances for entertaining and interesting finale to the evening.

Day 2: Hmong Hill Tribe Lodge-Chiang Rai-Golden Triangle (Breakfast-Lunch)
Depart from Hmong Hill Tribe Lodge to Golden triangle, Chiang Rai.
After breakfast, explore the area around Hmong Hill tribe Lodge by leisurely trek through the rainforest and vegetable farms to the Hmong Village of Ban Mae Khi. Check out from the lodge Lunch at Local Restaurant and drive to Chiang Rai.
Visit Ban Lorcha Akha Hill Tribe Community Based Tourism Village (CBT) run by the Population & Community Development Association (PDA) that will be focus on a sustainable tourism. Ban Lorcha will be educated and experiences by a Local Akha guide present for the Akha life and traditional house.
Continue to the ruins of Chiang Saen. Start your boat trip around Mae Khong River bank. Explore the old capital city of Chiang Saen to visit its ancient, temples and pagoda. Wat Pa Sak Ngarm, the pagoda that combines elements of the Hariphunchai and Sukhothai styles with a possible Burmese Bagan influence and Wat Phra Thad Jom Kitti located on a hilltop. Enjoy panoramic viewpoint of The Golden Triangle and Mae Khong River.
Overnight in Chiang Saen
Day 3: Golden Triangle – Chiang Rai departure (Breakfast-Lunch)
Depart from Golden Triangle to visit the Hill tribe Villages
After breakfast, from Golden Tringle drive to visit the hill tribe villages in the Mae Chan area.
You will pass Baan Pha Hi, a classic Akha village en-route to the view point of Phra That Doi Chaang Mub. Here you can see a tree planting area which is part of the Royal Project to reforest this area there is also the location of the famous Wat Phra That Doi Tung which you visit next. From the Doi Tung temple continue to Baan Pa Kluai, a Lahu village and Baan Samakee Mai, an Akha village. Continue to Mae Fah Luang the center of the Royal Project in Chiang Rai province. The end of this day drive back to Chiang Rai to your hotel or Flight to your next station.
